- An aerodrome or defined area on land or water, or a structure intended to be used wholly or in part for the arrival, departure, surface movement, maintenance, and servicing of helicopters. A heliport should have at least one touchdown and lift-off area. The touchdown and lift-off area may or may not be located within the FATO (final approach and takeoff area).
