reported traffic
- Fonte1
- INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION ORGANIZATION. Human factors digest n.6: ergonomics. Montreal, 1992. (Cir. 238 AN/143).
- Contexto
- To see objects at different distances, the eyes need to focus (or accommodate), and to converge the two eyeballs on the same object. When visual cues are weak (e.g. empty field visual conditions), the muscles controlling these adjustments assume a resting state. This does not make the eyes focus at infinity, as had long been assumed, but at a distance of less than one metre. This will significantly affect visual performance when a person is looking for distant objects and visual cues are weak, as is the case when trying to spot reported traffic from a flight deck.
