- Signs shall be frangible. Those located near a runway or taxiway shall be sufficiently low to preserve clearance for propellers and the engine pods of jet aircraft.
- A mandatory instruction sign should be provided where it is intended to identify, by a sign, a point beyond which aircraft or vehicular traffic shall not proceed without stolport control tower authorization. Mandatory instruction signs should comprise taxiway/runway intersection signs and NO ENTRY signs. A NO ENTRY sign should be located at the beginning of an area to which entry is prohibited.
