- Defuelling is one of the most important tasks to be carried out during an aircraft removal operation. A major problem with any defuelling procedure is that of storage.
- However, consideration should be given to having ARFF/Hazardous Materials/Fire remaining as the lead agency until all injured and deceased have been removed from the scene and during any hazardous materials mitigation activities, such as aircraft defueling.
