- Contexto
- To obtain approach slope guidance from visual aids when a visual approach slope indicator system is not provided or is not visible due to low visibility requires an aiming point to be visible.
- (…) the vertical seat adjustment is used by the pilot to achieve an eye position that provides a good view of the bottom edge of the windshield and the horizon, i.e. the frame of reference for visual flight. This eye position is an aid in judging the angle of the aircraft with visual aids while approaching the runway, the most important angle being the intersection of the flight path of the aircraft with the ground — the aiming point.
