Contexto
The intent of the Standard is to obtain noise measurements of the maximum noise levels which are likely to occur in practice during an approach flight condition. Since it is known that the maximum main rotor noise, known as Blade Vortex Interaction (BVI) or blade slap, occurs at around 6º descent angle at a constant speed of Vy this has been chosen as the reference condition.
