- A document issued by an aviation authority stating that an aircraft meets specific safety and performance requirements that allow it to be used in service. An authorized person may require production of the Certificate of Airworthiness.

- The flight crew shall include, in addition to the minimum specified in the Certificate of Airworthiness for the Flight Manual of the aeroplane or in other documents related to the Certificate of Airworthiness, any other crew members necessary according to the type of aeroplane used, the type of operation and the duration of flight between the places at which the crew is relieved.
