Contexto
Under certain circumstances, for example, if the airstream is deflected across broad plains by a mountain chain, the wind speed maximum is concentrated into a comparatively narrow band resembling a jet stream. Such wind speed maxima are commonly referred to as “low-level jet streams”.
A SIGWX forecast should have a jet stream height of FL340.
