Contexto
The investigator must proceed carefully, with an open mind, before reaching a conclusion that reports of an ‘explosion’ having been witnessed or heard have no connection with a major malfunction of the aircraft systems or its power plants. For instance, the disintegration of a high speed turbine disc can produce a loud explosion-like noise.
