Contexto
Separation by time is another method used in air traffic control. The application of separation to aircraft, based solely on position information received from pilots via air-ground communication, is generally referred to as procedural control and is applied in oceanic airspace as well as in domestic airspace where radar coverage is not available. Radar separation, on the other hand, is based on radar-displayed position information and is currently applied in continental airspace.
