yaw damper
- Definição1
- A part of an automatic flight control system used to keep the aircraft from unwanted yawing. A yaw damper senses the onset of yaw and immediately applies the correct rudder to eliminate it. Yaw dampers are used in swept-wing aircraft to reduce their tendency to dutch roll.
