high pitch
Definição1
The pitch of a propeller blade set at a high angle other than the feathering angle. A propeller blade at a high pitch angle takes a greater bite of air than one at a low pitch. Consequently, a high pitch produces more thrust at a given RPM than a low pitch. Unlike a takeoff and landing, when forward air speeds are low and the propeller pitch is fine, the blade angle needs to be increased as the speed increases, or is coarsened, for the angle of attack to remain optimum.
