stopway
- Definição1
- A defined rectangular area on the ground at the end of a runway in the direction of the takeoff designated and prepared by the competent authority as a suitable area in which an aircraft can be stopped in the case of an interrupted takeoff without causing structural damage to the aircraft. It is no less wide than the runway and is centered on the extended centerline of the runway.
