- Airlift aircraft enable the movement and sustainment of forces anywhere in the world and across the entire range of operations. They provide rapid and flexible mobility options to military, national and international government agencies to quickly respond to various crisis situations worldwide. Such operations include airlift support to military crisis operations and also humanitarian relief operations. Airlift flights can be either military or civilian registered, but under the terms of State aircraft, the aircraft are operated on behalf of the State. The aircraft are predominantly multi-engined transport aircraft, engaged in passenger and freight carriage.
