standards and recommended practices
Definição1
The provision of seats and restraint systems on board commercial passenger aircraft is a requirement of Annex 6 — Operation of Aircraft to the Convention on International Civil Aviation. The current Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) requires that a seat or berth be provided for each occupant over a certain age. This cut-off age is determined by the State, which issues the air operator certificate (AOC). Additionally, the current SARP states that restraint systems (e.g. seat belt) must be provided for each seat or berth.
