ground speed
Definição1
The horizontal component of the velocity of an aircraft relative to the ground. Ground speed is obtained by applying the effect of the prevalent wind velocity to the TAS (true air speed).

The actual speed of an aircraft over the ground. It is true airspeed adjusted for wind. Groundspeed decreases with a headwind, and increases with a tailwind. A GPS measures ground speed.
