The maximum altitude at which a sustained rate of climb is no longer possible (i.e., the rate of climb is zero). At this altitude, the maximum power available curve just about touches the power-required curve, meaning there is no reserve of power available to permit any climb.

Contexto
As you know (and as shown in the chart), VA is one example, because the numerical value of VA changes with weight. Another example concerns VX and VY: as altitude increases, VX increases slightly and VY decreases. VX and VY are equal when the airplane reaches its absolute ceiling.
