- Storm.—The term " storm" atmospheric commotion, such as a violent gale, a thunderstorm, a line-squall, a rainstorm, dust storm or snowstorm.
- Observations made at aeronautical stations should also include any available information on meteorological conditions in the approach and climb-out areas relating to the location of C umulonimbus or thunderstorms, moderate or severe turbulence, horizontal and/or vertical wind shear, and significant variations of the wind along the flight path, hail, severe line squalls, moderate or severe icing, freezing precipitation, marked mountain waves, sandstorm, dust storm, blowing snow or funnel cloud (tornado or waterspout).
