Contexto
If there is any doubt about the integrity of the aircraft electrical systems, these systems should be disconnected or removed. For safety reasons, whether the electrical system is serviceable or not, the aircraft must still be properly grounded. Emergency power ram air turbines (RAT) systems are often heavy and have substantial deployment mechanisms, usually utilizing springs. These systems should be fitted with specific safety-retaining devices.
