Contexto
Detect and avoid technologies will be improved and certified to support RPA and operational improvements. Ground-based detect and avoid (GBDAA) will be certified and approved for more pieces of airspace. Other approaches to consider include an on-board (airborne) detect and avoid solution (ABDAA). ABDAA efforts are currently focused on developing the capability to perform both airborne separation and collision avoidance on board the aircraft that ensure an appropriate level of safety even in the event of command and control link failure.
