INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION ORGANIZATION. Aircraft accident digest n.29. Montreal, 1985. (Cir. 191 AN/116).
Nota adicional1
The radio altimeter works on the principle that, if the path followed by the radio wave is straight down and up, then the elapsed time between the outgoing and incoming signal is a function of the aircraft’s height.
Contexto
The aircraft's GPWS should have armed as the aircraft climbed through 100 feet above ground level and should have activated if the aircraft began to descend before reaching 700 feet. The GPWS logic altitude signals are provided by the aircraft's radio altimeter.
