Nota adicional1
In the air traffic control tower environment, all controllers must have a clear view of all the information necessary for their jobs. Those concerned with aircraft departing or on final approach must be able to see the runways and the aircraft for which they are responsible; this requirement applies to both directions of every runway. Some tower controllers need to see aircraft movements on taxiways and aprons below the tower. A controller’s view must not be impeded by other controllers, by equipment within the tower, by stanchions or other features of the tower structure, or by airport buildings.
Contexto
The remote de-icing/anti-icing facility should be located to be clear of the obstacle limitation surfaces specified in Chapter 4, not cause interference to the radio navigation aids and be clearly visible from the air traffic control tower for clearing the treated aeroplane.
