Contexto
TAs are intended to alert pilots to the possibility of a resolution advisory (RA), to enhance situational awareness, and to assist in visual acquisition of conflicting traffic. However, visually acquired traffic may not be the same traffic causing a TA. Visual perception of an encounter may be misleading, particularly at night.
The Mode S air-ground data link permits the transmission of ACAS resolution advisories to ATS facilities. This would allow display of the resolution advisory to controllers.   1.3.14 Two ACAS-equipped aircraft in conflict co-ordinate resolution advisories with each other using the Mode S air-air data link. This ensures that the resolution advisory displayed in own aircraft is compatible with the resolution advisory displayed in the threat ACAS aircraft.
