- The area of airspace over land or water, extending upward form the surface, within which the ready identification, the location, and the control of aircraft are required in the interest of national security. Boundaries of ADIZ are shown on charts as double dotted lines. The delimiting line is not shown when it coincides with an international boundary, projection line, or other linear features.
