Un sistema automático que proporcione información de tiempo presente también puede proporcionar información sobre condiciones meteorológicas recientes observadas en el aeródromo desde el último informe o durante la última hora. Entre los fenómenos de condiciones meteorológicas recientes, muchos pueden notificarse mediante un sistema automático, especialmente los relativos a precipitación, es decir, lluvia reciente (RERA), nieve reciente (RESN), llovizna reciente (REDZ), chaparrón fuerte reciente (RESHRA), nieve fuerte reciente (RESHSN) y, posiblemente, precipitación engelante [p. ej., precipitación engelante reciente (REFZDZ) y lluvia engelante reciente (REFZRA)] así como tormentas recientes (RETS).
