Contexto
A pressure vent valve is located in each tank and is normally in the open or vent position. For fuel transfer, the valve is closed to pressurize the tank to a nominal pressure of 10 lbs/in2 with a maximum of 16 lbs/inc in most cases. The pressure is maintained by a pressure regulator. Check valves are installed in the airlines to prevent reverse fuel flow.
