- Definição2
- Ground effect is the increased efficiency of the rotor system caused by interference of the airflow when near the ground

- Nota adicional1
- The air pressure or density is increased, which acts to decrease the downward velocity of air. Ground effect permits relative wind to be more horizontal, lift vector to be more vertical, and induced drag to be reduced.
- Contexto
- Air-taxiing. Movement of a helicopter/VTOL above the surface of an aerodrome, normally in ground effect and at a ground speed normally less than 37 km/h (20 kt).
