Along with ANAC, the following organizations are part of the Brazilian Civil Aviation System:
• the Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center (Cenipa)subordinate to the Brazilian Air Force and responsible for the prevention and investigation of accidents;
• the Department of Airspace Control (Decea)subordinate to the Brazilian Air Force, and responsible for the strategic and systemic control of the country’s airspace;
• the Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Enterprise (Infraero), which manages several airports in Brazil; and
• the Civil Aviation Secretary (SAC) of the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil responsible for coordinating the Civil Aviation System in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, when appropriate.
